This Durham home needed a lot of work. We're talking dated carpet throughout, old builder-grade kitchen cabinets, and paint colors that had run their course. The kind of home where you know it has potential - it just needs the right hands on it. That's exactly where we came in.
We started with the paint. Every room had its own personality, and not always in a good way. Deep blues, pinks, flat walls with no prep behind them. We stripped all of that back, did the prep work the right way, and laid down clean neutral tones throughout. The difference that proper prep makes is night and day - no bleed-through, no uneven sheen, just crisp walls and tight lines where the trim meets the paint. That's what separates a real paint job from a roll-and-go.
The carpet came out and LVP went down in its place - room by room, hallway included. The wood-look planks tie the whole home together. Walking from the living room down the hallway to the bedrooms, it all flows. No transitions that feel jarring, no mismatched finishes. Just clean, consistent flooring that works with the rest of the space.
Then there's the kitchen. What was there before - honey oak cabinets, dark countertops, low lighting - got completely gutted. What replaced it is a full white shaker cabinet layout with bright quartz countertops, a large center island with an undermount sink, and pendant lighting overhead. The LVP runs straight through the kitchen and into the open living area, keeping everything cohesive.
Not every home needs the same approach. Some just need fresh paint. Others need the floors pulled and replaced. And some, like this one, need all of it done together and done well. That's the kind of work we do at Loyal-T Home Improvements - custom to the home, no shortcuts.
