Good flooring doesn't just look nice - it has to be installed right or it won't last. That means proper adhesive application, tight seams between planks, and careful attention to how everything lays across the subfloor. Skip any of those steps and you're looking at squeaks, gaps, and planks shifting underfoot within a year.

Here's what we were working with on this one - a large open-floor-plan home that needed engineered flooring laid across a wide living area and into the kitchen. The subfloor gets prepped and adhesive is spread in sections using a notched trowel, which helps create consistent coverage so every plank bonds evenly. No shortcuts, no guessing.

The blue tape you see holding planks in place isn't just random - it's part of how we keep rows tight and properly set while the adhesive cures. Each plank gets checked before we move to the next section. It's slower, but it's how you get a floor that actually stays put for the long haul.

We handle engineered flooring and waterproof LVP for all kinds of homes across the Triangle. Whether it's one room or a whole house, the process is the same - careful prep, precise installation, and clean results that hold up to real life.

If your floors have been on the list for a while, this is what the process actually looks like. No mystery, no mess left behind. Just solid work done by a crew that takes it seriously.
